Registration form for The Big Lonely 2023 - WAITLIST

The 2023 edition of The Big Lonely will be limited to 50 individual riders and 10 teams of 2 (Pairs). Registration will fill up on a first-come, first-served basis and it WILL fill up quickly. If registrants do not complete the below-listed donation within 30 days of the event start, the registrant will be removed and a waitlisted registrant will take their place.

Registrants are asked to donate a minimum of $35 to Furry Freight – IMPORTANT: Include the text: “The Big Lonely 2023” in the Donation comments so we can confirm your donation! Furry Freight partners with shelters in overpopulated areas where pets are at risk of euthanasia. Furry Freight transports the pets to our partner shelters in the Pacific Northwest where they are quickly adopted into loving homes. Just by changing their location, pets go from unwanted and discarded to loved members of the family.

Registrants are responsible for the cost of their individual tracking and rental trackers, if needed.  You will be invoiced directly by our tracking partner for the event. Riders can register their intent to complete the route as an individual time trial by emailing Jesse@NWCompetitive.com

Please read the adventure manual for the event prior to submitting your registration. It is very important to understand that this is an unsupported bikepacking adventure — there are no aid stations, support vehicles, or medical services on course. You must carry your own equipment, move forward under your own power, and act in the spirit of competitive adventure.

e.g. spouse, brother, aunt, etc.
Each Pairs rider must complete their own registration form.
A Satellite Communication Device with 5-minute interval tracking AND S.O.S. button is required for the event (Garmin InReach SE or Explorer, Spot Gen3). The device must have an active subscription and will be tested at the event briefing.

If the donation is not completed within 30 days of the race start, your registration will be removed and a waitlisted registrant will take your place. If you are unable to donate, please contact Jesse@NWCompetitive.com to make other arrangements
By checking "I Agree", the registrant hereby releases the event coordinator, Northwest Competitive Adventure, from liability in the event of injury or death while participating in The Big Lonely.
